Located within this stone-sided fort and tower on the Cap d’Antibes, built in stages as a coastal gunnery battery the 17th and 18th centuries, is a child-friendly space showcasing a permanent Jacques Cousteau exhibition. Prominent displays range from models of Costeau’s research vessel, the Calypso, as well as the explorer’s intimidating shark cage. Visitors keen to escape the crowds will revel in the center’s seaside park (which overlooks the grounds of the ultra-exclusive Hôtel du Cap–Eden-Roc!). The center also organizes fun, scientific snorkeling trips (25€ per adult, 15€ child; www.graillon-aquarando.com) and kayak tours (same price) around the pristine Cap d’Antibes.
