The same style and attention to detail that pervades David Leibert and Cindy Wood's retro Palms Hotel is evident in this seasonal, dinner-only restaurant, which overlooks the hotel swimming pool and the vast desert beyond. An eclectic menu encompasses prime steaks, fresh fish, and individual gourmet pizzas. The evening ambience is welcoming and romantic, as the sparse lights of tiny Borrego Springs twinkle on the desert floor below. The couple also runs Red Ocotillo, 818 Palm Canyon Dr. (tel. 760/767-7400).
