Visitors to Argentina are spoiled for choice when it comes to putting together a holiday itinerary. This country is so vast, with such contrasting landscapes; it's impossible to see everything. It's wise to sacrifice some locations and not rush. Internal flights are a must, though; although Argentina's long-distance buses are comfortable -- indeed, luxurious -- they'll slow you down too much. Car rentals should only be used for short distances since the regions between major destinations are often flat pampas or desert scrub and don't make for interesting scenery. Note: Buenos Aires is the air transport hub. Wherever you decide to go it will most likely be through the capital.
