With Nafplion just down the road, there's really no reason to stay overnight in Argos unless you prefer the bustle of this crowded Greek market town to Nafplion's more sybaritic pleasures. If you do stay here, Hotel Mycenae, 10 Plateia Ayiou Petrou (tel. 27510/68-754); and Hotel Telesilla, 2 Danaou and Plateia Ayiou Petrou (tel. 27510/68-317), which cater to businesspeople, are probably your best bets. Both are on the main square, and both have air-conditioning, central heating, and TV. Doubles cost from 60€ ($78).
