This is a standard, durable choice for overnighting, though it lacks the style and glamour of some of our previous selections. Since its opening in 1964, it's provided good comfort and a fair price in one of the city's tallest buildings, rising 11 floors, with good views from the top-floor bedrooms, some of which open onto a balcony with a view of the water. Bedrooms range from small to midsize, but each is tastefully and agreeably furnished, with well-kept bathrooms with tub/shower combos. Breakfast is the only meal served, although there are many eateries nearby -- the helpful staff will advise. They will also arrange for you to have access to a nearby health club and tennis courts.
