Hotels

The state offers a host of accommodations, ranging from full-scale resorts to park lodges to motels to quaint inns. An online directory of available accommodations in cities throughout the state is available at www.arkansas.com. Noteworthy hotels in the state include Eureka Springs's historic 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa (tel. 877/342-9766 or 479/253-9766; www.crescent-hotel.com), a Historic Hotel of America; and Little Rock's Peabody Hotel (tel. 501/906-4000; www.peabodylittlerock.com), a branch of the famous luxury hotel group which features its own set of marching ducks.

Arkansas features a plethora of bed-and-breakfasts, many of them situated in historic buildings and woodsy cabins. The Bed & Breakfast Association of Arkansas (www.bedandbreakfastarkansas.com) publishes a free directory listing all 63 of its member inns.
