This award-winning dining room -- built as part of the renovation of the inn by the same name -- has become one of the best fine-dining restaurant options in Manchester. The handsome, newly created space looks out onto Mount Equinox and a small pond; waitstaff are incredibly professional and knowledgeable about the expansive wine list and the cuisine of chef Daniel Jackson, formerly of the Woodstock Inn. The kitchen reaches for and attains a high level of quality with cuisine that's Continental with flair: Starters might include a panko-crusted ahi tuna roll, a salad of local greens and cheese, or signature lobster-crab cakes with rémoulade; for main courses, you might find maple-glazed organic chicken breast, seared halibut, "lacquered" duckling, chargrilled beef tenderloin paired with a nicely crunchy quiche of Maytag blue cheese, or a spicy, fabulous bouillabaisse packed with salmon, shrimp, and other Atlantic seafood.
