The spacious rooms in this 17th-century Illuminati family palazzo are fitted with contemporary furnishings done in a repro-Renaissance style in rich yellow, gold, and green fabrics. The rooms without wood floors have knobby carpets, and the proprietors jokingly refer to the smallish singles as their "Franciscan cells." The suites are bi-level, lofted affairs good for families, and there are a few attractive little rooms with wood-beam ceilings in a small annex across the back alley from the main building.
