The views from the river-facing suites in this well-kept, mid-range Hilton franchise property are primo. From your balcony you look out across the broad Columbia and can see seals basking on the rocks below. The hotel is right next to the northernmost stop on the trolley line that runs along the waterfront, and Pier 39 with its heritage museum (it was the Bumblebee salmon canning facility). It’s the only hotel in Astoria to have an indoor swimming pool (with heated seawater) and a good-sized exercise room. Rooms and suites are generously proportions and comfortably furnished, although like most franchise properties they have a somewhat corporate look. Breakfast is included in your room rate. It’s a particularly family-friendly place to stay, as the studio suites can accommodate up to 6 people.
