Frommer's Review
Located in Midtown, near several theaters and within walking distance of the Fox, Eno is the perfect place to stop for a pre- or post-theater dinner. It's actually two restaurants in one: a posh dining room, ideal for leisurely dinners, and a wine bar, where you can feast on small plates and appetizers. There are two different menus for the two parts of Eno, and different wine lists, too. In the bar, the 100-odd selections are available by the taste, glass, or bottle; in the dining room, nearly twice that number is available. While dinner is a first-rate food and wine experience, the wine bar, with its more casual attitude, is a lot more fun (though you can easily snack and sip your way into a pretty hefty bill). Goodies range from a delectable braised rabbit and goat-cheese tortellini with fennel pollen and citrus (on the small-plates menu) to whole roasted fish of the day with roasted fennel and potatoes and singed black olives. Regardless of which area you choose to dine in, be sure to save room for the delicate fig and apple tart.
