Frommer's Review
Emeril Lagasse brought his highly sought-after contemporary Creole cuisine to Hotlanta in 2003. BAM! His high energy and bold taste are written all over this New Orleans-esque hot spot in (where else?) Buckhead. If you enjoy being the center of attention, you'll get your fill here, where waitstaff cater to your every need. The Atlanta location houses some 9,000 bottles of wine in Emeril's signature round wine room, a temperature-controlled tower. Just like on television, guests here can see right into the kitchen, where the Creole-influenced dishes are created. The entrees -- including beef, fish, and chicken options -- are consistently scrumptious. But the banana-cream pie with banana crust, caramel sauce, and chocolate shavings is, shall we say, bam-alicious. A six-course tasting menu with optional wine pairings is available.
