Frommer's Review
This is the best deal downtown: It's close to all the action; the accommodations are quiet, nicely appointed studios or suites; and it's incredibly well priced -- especially for an extended stay. The building itself was constructed in 1928 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The ceiling in the marble lobby was painted by European artists when the building was new, and it has been restored to its original splendor. The most recent renovations were completed in late 2008. The rooms, which are like small apartments, have queen-size beds and kitchens outfitted with all the necessary equipment. Bathrooms are of standard size. High ceilings lend a feeling of spaciousness. For a nice view of downtown, ask for one of the suites on the higher floors. In addition to a complimentary breakfast, the hotel provides a light supper with beer and wine from Monday through Thursday.
Facilities:
Fitness center; room service; coin-op washers and dryers; same-day dry cleaning; grocery shopping

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
