Ritz-Carlton Buckhead ReviewThe Ritz-Carlton Buckhead is the Rolls-Royce of Atlanta hotels. Every inch of this hotel oozes luxury, from the lobby to the public areas, now saturated in a color palette representative of a southern garden. A renovation, completed in late 2008, brought the hotel to the next level, as well as doubled the number of suites. The rooms, all with large bay windows, are exquisitely decorated with armoires, luxuriously upholstered sofas or armchairs, and marble-topped desks. Twelve units are accessible to travelers with disabilities. Executive-level guests can enjoy the comfortable Club Lounge, which serves complimentary meals, snacks, and cocktails. The Café is a hot spot for Sunday brunch, and nonguests pour in for the dining event. The Lobby Lounge is the setting for afternoon English-style teas and features live jazz in the evenings. | 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
