Embassy Suites Atlanta Buckhead ReviewThis all-suite hotel stacks up well against the more expensive hotels in the same area. A favorite with business travelers, the suite arrangement is also ideal for families, and the location can't be beat, with Lenox Square, Phipps Plaza, and many fine restaurants within walking distance. The Buckhead MARTA station is less than a block away. Each elegantly appointed, 800-square-foot, two-room suite has a bed and a pullout queen-size sofa. Although the entire hotel is accessible to travelers with disabilities -- most of the participants in the wheelchair division of the Peachtree Road Race stay here -- 10 of the suites are completely equipped for those with disabilities, and two have roll-in showers. Two popular bonuses: the complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast, served in the 16-story atrium lobby (check out the waterfall), and complimentary afternoon cocktails. | 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
