The Mansion on Peachtree ReviewLong awaited, the Mansion opened in 2008, offering travelers a whole new level of luxury and service (you even get your own butler). Coffee and tea are delivered to your room upon request each morning. Rooms have 9 1/2-foot ceilings and are lush, with neutral velvets and satins. An LCD television is hidden behind a framed piece of art that retracts at the touch of a button. All 31 suites have balconies; rooms with balconies and double balconies are available. Luxury extends to the spacious bathrooms, where you can soak in a deep tub or enjoy a marble steam shower. The hotel has two excellent restaurants, Tom Colicchio's Craft and NEO, with a contemporary Italian-inspired menu (don't miss the foie gras). On-site 29 Spa by Lydia Mondavi offers exclusive treatments with grape-seed antioxidant products. When it comes to luxury, the recently opened St. Regis is giving the Mansion a run for its money, though both are bastions of grandeur. | 2 stars | Frommer's Very Highly Recommended | |
| 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
