If you haven't had a good glass of Guinness since your last trip to Dublin, Fadó (Gaelic for "long ago") is the place to pause for a pint or two. The interior is divided into five pub areas, each one distinct from the next: a cottage pub with a peat-burning fireplace, a Victorian pub with dark wood and stained glass, and so on. As the night goes on and serious revelers invade, the pleasant, unhurried atmosphere of the early evening gives way to loud and crowded boisterousness. There's traditional Irish or Celtic music several days a week, and the Irish fare is good, especially the boxty (the Irish version of a potato pancake) and the fish and chips in Guinness batter.
