This Seattle-based company sells everything imaginable for the outdoor enthusiast: clothing, shoes, outerwear, and accessories for biking, hiking, camping, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, and so on. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and the sales are frequent and fabulous.

Open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 9pm, Sunday from 11am to 6pm. There's another REI just north of the city at 1165 Perimeter Center W. NE (tel. 770/901-9200).
