In 2014, The Grove won the coveted "Restauranteur of the Year" award from Auckland's Metro magazine; it was named best restaurant in the country by another foodie group in 2010. Why all the accolades? The Grove is a restaurant for grown-ups  (read: polished and formal) where plates reach the level of high art. Every time we dine there, we want to photograph each dish (ok, so we're NOT grown ups!). Pheasant ballotine stuffed with sweetbreads, celeriac, glazed beurre bosc & red endive is a tast senstation; the vanilla and Medjool date crème brûlée tart with spiced ice cream and rhubarb confit was worth saving room for. Truly: if you want an opulent dining experience, it's hard to do better than The Grove.
