This hotel should be the choice of design-conscious travelers who can't bear to be lodged in the standard cubical room off the standard long and dreary corridor. The hotel is strictly modern, but not the cookie-cutter kind of modern. You can easily see that thought and effort went into its construction, most evident in the way it is set on the property -- a wedge-shaped lot on an incline. Five rooms and two suites surround a well-furnished, broad deck shaded by oak trees. This is a great place to relax and enjoy a little leisure time, which the hotel encourages with a free happy hour featuring beer and wine. The rooms are lovely and the bathrooms are just so, with handsome fixtures and good layouts. A continental breakfast featuring some Austin favorites is spread out in the lounge in the mornings. The staff is very accommodating.
