Hotel Saint Cecilia

A small, private hotel, the Saint Cecilia (named after the patron saint of music) sits on a large property just off South Congress. The original house (1888) has five rooms, each with a different emphasis (the bathroom in one, bedroom in another, garden in a third). Behind the house is a modern, understated building with three guest rooms, hotel reception, and an indoor/outdoor lounge area, while across a landscaped yard set off by old oak trees are three modern bungalows located around a small pool area, each with an upstairs and a downstairs unit. Rooms are designed with clean lines and attractive spaces, and each has its own outdoor area. In each room, you'll find a turntable connected to a Geneva sound system. But the capper is the Swedish Hastens mattress, handmade with all-natural materials, which feels like nothing I've ever experienced. After spending the night on one of these, you can have breakfast crepes in the lounge area while gazing out at the old oak trees and ponder what you could possibly do to make your life any better.
