Omni Austin ReviewThis is a cool hotel despite the fact that it caters to business travelers. The hotel occupies one of two towers (the other is an office building) enclosed in a giant cube of steel and glass. The rest of the area in the cube is free space, crating an airy atrium illuminated by natural light filtering in through the glass. Rooms have either interior or exterior views. Standard rooms are comfortable, with bathrooms slightly larger than the norm. The one-bedroom suites come with a full kitchen and dining area. I especially like the Omni's rooftop pool, sun deck, and Jacuzzi (with terrific city views), which are a big part of the hotel's attraction. The hotel's Get Fit program gives you incentive to exercise, offering free fitness kits and healthy snacks; for $25, a treadmill will be brought to your room. The location is great, just off the Sixth Street entertainment district. Facilities: Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. Please be sure to confirm all rates and details directly with the companies in question before planning your trip. Related Features Deals & News |

| 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
