Frommer's Review
For those who want to be in the northwest part of downtown, which puts you within walking distance of the University of Texas, this is a good pick. The hotel itself isn't exciting, just your basic blocky high-rise, but for a business-oriented place it's got a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, enhanced by a nice indoor/outdoor pool complex. The glass walls of the atrium give the hotel's public areas good light and an open, airy feel. The guest rooms, though characterless, are spacious and not unattractive. Get a room on the west side to avoid the sight and sounds of the nearby freeway, those on the higher floors have terrific views of the capitol building. All rooms are nonsmoking.
