You don’t need to spend a lot to enjoy a splendid chuletón de Avila at this stylish bar-restaurant with foodie aspirations. The steak (about a half-kilo, or 1 lb.) literally hangs over the edge of the plate and comes with roasted red peppers and oven-fried potatoes. Located in a quiet plaza outside the walls, Chocolate seems to have taken its decor from a candy box: dark brown walls, brown banquettes, chocolate brown napkins on the red plastic tables, and Philippe Starck red acrylic chairs. (There are even red “crystal” plastic chandeliers.) Chocolate’s other house specialty is a massive hamburger.
