Ambling on the "Ohs" -- The center of Baden-Baden activity is Lichtentaler Allee, the park promenade along the bank of the Oosbach River (affectionately called the Oos -- pronounced Ohs), which runs through the center of town. As you stroll along this walk, you'll be amazed at the variety not only of exotic shrubs and trees but also of the rhododendrons, azaleas, and roses. At the north end of the park, on the banks of the stream, are the buildings of the Kurgarten, including the classical Kurhaus, used as an entertainment complex.
