Although Brenner's Park-Hotel and even the Steigenberger properties are far superior, this runner-up is more tranquil. It's set in a spacious park, 8 minutes away from the town center on foot. Some of the most up-to-date health facilities in the Black Forest are here. You can spend an early morning in group calisthenics, for example, followed by treatments with any of a dozen skin- and muscle-toning techniques. One of the more unusual facilities is the Tepidarium, where a room is warmed to body temperature as you sit and listen to meditation music. All rooms are suites and well kept, spacious, and well appointed, furnished with both traditional and modern styling and with bathrooms containing tub/shower combinations.
