A Baden-Baden landmark, this famed traditional hotel isn't quite as highly rated as Brenner's , but it's neck and neck with its sibling, the Europäischer Hof . Blu Badischer Hof is on a busy street in the center of town, but in the back you'll find an elegant garden with a wide balustraded terrace, flower beds, and a lawn around a stone fountain. The hotel began its career in 1809 as a social center for famous personalities, who came here for "the season." The well-furnished rooms are priced according to size and view. Many have private balconies. Each is elegantly appointed with tasteful fabrics and comfortable beds. Those in the monastery have thermal water piped into the bathrooms.
