Getting There
By Air -- The nearest airport is Salzburg. From Salzburg, it's a 20-minute train ride into Bad Reichenhall, with trains leaving every hour throughout the day, with a change in Freilassing. There are also frequent bus and rail connections to and from Berchtesgaden, either trip taking about 45 minutes. Buses or trains leave every hour from Berchtesgaden heading for Bad Reichenhall.
By Train -- Bad Reichenhall is connected to the airport at Munich by frequent train service through Rosenheim. The trip takes about 2 1/2 hours. For information and schedules, call tel. 01805/996633 or check out www.bahn.de.
By Bus -- Regional bus service to and from Bad Reichenhall is provided by RVO Regionalverkehr Oberbayern (tel. 08821/948274). From the spa, you can take a bus to various stops in the Bavarian Alps, including Berchtesgaden.
By Car -- Access is by the A8 Autobahn, from Munich in the north and Salzburg in the south. Exit on Federal Highway 21 into Bad Reichenhall.

For tourist information, go to the Kur- und Verkehrsverein im Kurgastzentrum, Wittelsbacherstrasse 15 (tel. 08651/6060). It's open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to noon.
