Getting There

By Train -- Travelers arriving by train disembark at Gmünd, 3km (2 miles) away. At the railway station there, a flotilla of buses (9-11 per day) meets every major train, with easy connections on to Bad Wiessee. For rail information, call tel. 01805/996633.

By Bus -- Three to five buses depart every day for Bad Wiessee from Munich's Hauptbahnhof, with additional stops along the Zweibrückestrasse, adjacent to Munich's Deutsches Museum (trip time: 90 min.). Round-trip transport costs 19€ ($30) per person. For bus information, call tel. 08022/19412.

By Car -- Access from either Munich or Salzburg is via the A8 Autobahn. Take the Holzkirchen exit heading toward Bad Wiessee and follow the signs.

Visitor Information

For information, go to the Kurverwaltung, Adrian-Stoop-Strasse 20 (tel. 08022/86030). May to October, the tourism office's hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, and Saturday 9am to noon. In the off season, hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
