Introduction to Bad Wildungen

If you'd like to take a short break for a little R&R, you can drive down to one of the oldest and most historic spas of Germany, a short distance from Kassel, for a recuperative break from all those fairy tales.

Lying 43km (27 miles) south of Kassel, Bad Wildungen is more than 700 years old. Its healing mineral springs have long attracted northern Europeans to the rolling hills and deep forests of the Waldeck region, southwest of Kassel. Thousands of annual visitors come here seeking treatment for kidney and gallbladder disorders or simply for rest and relaxation and the numerous cultural activities.
