This rambling historic home in a quiet neighborhood and just an 8-minute stroll from downtown has a curious story. Built during World War II, when no new construction was allowed, the owner "remodeled" by building around the two preexisting cabins, eventually tearing them down from the inside. Most rooms are quite large and simply furnished. In a separate chalet at the back of the inn are two king suites, each with a fireplace and jetted tub. Pension Tannenhof is an excellent value and a good place to stay if you want clean, unfussy accommodations.
