Frommer's Review
Even if B&Bs aren't your style, keep your mind open to Thea's. It's cozy and, for a B&B, exceptionally private, with a great mix of luxury and rusticity. An easy stroll from the thick of Banff Avenue, the building isn't what you'd expect from a B&B. For one thing, it's huge (relatively; it's not a private home), with vaulted timber awnings and ceilings (at 20+ feet!), and a big stone fireplace inside. It's more of a lodge than a traditional B&B per se, but the level of service remains quaint and familiar, while respecting your privacy. Rooms are big and nicely appointed mostly in warm natural woods, amping up the rustic comfort; all have balconies. Guests have access to a lounge area with a stocked minibar and refrigerator and a coffee and tea service; a full breakfast is included, and ski packages are also available.
