Secluded and rustic, Baker Creek Lodge offers log-built lodge, cabin, and chalet accommodations just off the quiet Bow Valley Parkway (Hwy. 1A). This very charming, family-owned resort sits right on the banks of Baker Creek amid firs and pines, and is the perfect destination for families who want their memories of Banff park to be of mountains and woods, not the shops of Banff townsite. Accommodations range from top-of-the-line one-bedroom Trapper's Cabins with wood-burning fireplace, double Jacuzzi, and a gas barbecue on the porch, to a selection of large chalets and suites that can comfortably sleep six. Call ahead and discuss your needs with the staff, as there are a number of room configurations; all have fireplaces, full or efficiency kitchens, decks, and locally built pine furniture. The Baker Creek Bistro is one of the top places to dine in this part of Alberta.
