This is your best bet if you're in Bridgetown shopping or sightseeing. In an historic warehouse originally built to store bananas and freeze fish, this cafe serves international fare with a strong emphasis on Bajan specialties. Try the fresh catch of the day prepared Creole style, or pan-seared steak. For vegetarians the menu features such dishes as three-mushroom pasta, vegetable soup, and usually a special of the day. Both diners and drinkers are welcome here for Creole food with lots of stir-fried dishes, including a version made with fish. Tuesday nights bring live steel-band music and a Bajan buffet. To see the Thursday-night Dixieland bands, reserve about a week in advance. There's jazz on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
