Recycled from an older resort, this complex on the south coast is a more affordable option than some of the gold-plated properties farther north. Right on the beach in the historic Garrison area, the Amaryllis Beach Resort has very appealing tropical gardens and a deluxe pool. Bedrooms are midsize to spacious and furnished in a tasteful Caribbean motif. You have various accommodation options, ranging from regular hotel rooms to studios, or even one- or two-bedroom suites for families or groups. Bedrooms open onto balconies or patios, with views of the landscaped grounds or the ocean.
