The beachfront K-Club brings a chic Italian panache to one of the most far-flung backwaters of the Antilles. The resort is the "temple in the desert" of Italy's Krizia Mariuccia Mandelli, empress of a sports and evening wear empire. The resort is set on more than 80 hectares (198 acres), adjacent to the Beach House . Conceived by Italian architect Gianni Gamondi, the cottages and main clubhouse have roofs supported by a forest of white columns. Accommodations come in a huge range of styles and shapes, with Caribbean rattan furnishings.
