More than a hotel, this building is also the headquarters of the Evangelische Missionswerk (Protestant Mission) of Basel and all profits go to their work. However, this isn't just a good place to stay for the religious. The hotel's central location, beautiful garden, and comfortable rooms make it a good value choice for any traveler. Most of the rooms are inexpensive, priced at the lower end of the scale. Zum Rosengarten, the on-site restaurant, is fine, but guests go here more for the convenience than for the food. The extensive library is a grace note.
