Planning a Trip

Visitor Information

For information, call the tourist office, Lgo. Corona d'Italia 35 (tel. 0424-524-351; fax 0424-525-301; www.comune.bassano.vi.it). It's open daily from 9am to 1pm and Monday to Saturday from 2 to 6pm.

Getting There

By Bus -- To get here from Vicenza, you can take one of two dozen daily FTV buses (tel. 0424-30-850; www.ftv.vi.it) that make the 1-hour trip. Frequent buses from Padua take half the time, making fewer stops. There are also a dozen buses (tel. 0423-493-464 or 0423-529-966) daily from nearby Asolo (25 min.).

By Car -- From Asolo, head west on the SS248; from Vicenza, north on the SS248; from Padua, north on the SS47. From Treviso, the more scenic route follows the SS348 northwest to Montebelluno, where you pick up the smaller SS248 west; the faster route is west along the SS53 toward Vicenza, turning north onto the SS47 at Cittadella.
