Hôtel Marcellin

The early-20th-century Marcellin is a good budget selection in an otherwise high-priced resort. Built around 1900 for a local family, the sprawling, much-altered villa was divided into two about 25 years ago, and half was converted into this pleasant, cost-conscious hotel, while the other half remains a private home. The restored rooms come with homelike amenities and southern exposure. They're small to midsize, but comfortably furnished. The location isn't bad, either: in the congested town, near its western periphery, only a 5-minute walk from the beach. Breakfast is the only meal served, but many restaurants are nearby.
