Frommer's Review
Buried deep inside one of the city's most interesting hutong neighborhoods, but only a 10-minute walk from both the Heping Men and Qian Men metro stations, the Far East offers comfortable rooms at competitive rates. Even the hallways -- partly adorned with faux brick and latticed, dark wood panels -- are pleasant. The hostel maintains cheaper dorms behind a courtyard house across the street, but those in the main building are far better. The Far East makes a good choice even if you usually stay at midrange places.
