Princess Hotel & Casino

This is the largest hotel in Belize City, and the only one with a resort feel to it. The massive lobby area lets out into the hotel's casino, two movie theaters, a shopping arcade, an eight-lane bowling alley, a salon, and various restaurants and bars. The hotel is set right on the water's edge a little bit north of downtown and is built as one, long, six-story structure so that every room has an ocean view. The rooms are all large and come with either one king bed or two full-size beds, a working desk, large bathrooms, and bathrobes. The junior suites are a little bit larger and have private oceanfront balconies. The casino here is definitely one of the prime nightlife attractions in the country, although it feels increasingly seedy as the years go by. The Princess also has a full-service marina and dive shop. The Radisson is definitely more elegant and better maintained, but the Princess does have a bit more in the way of facilities and nightlife.
