Pick up a map from the tourist office in the center of the Old Town. A look at the map will direct you to Villa dei Cedri (tel. 091/821-85-20), Bellinzona's municipally owned art gallery, founded in 1985. The gallery contains private art donated to the city but also mounts temporary exhibitions. In back is an enclosed garden and grounds where the townsfolk grow their own small crop of local merlot, bottles of which are offered for sale in the gallery. It's open Tuesday to Friday from 2 to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm. Admission is 8F ($6.55/£3.40) for adults; 5F ($4.10/£2.15) for students, children, and seniors 65 or over.
