The restaurant at the Bullfrog Inn, 25 Half Moon Ave. (tel. 822-3425), which serves a mix of local and international cuisine, is another of the better restaurants in the city proper. Budget travelers and those looking for some local flavor should probably grab food from the various vendors and stalls at the central market. But this option is not for those with delicate digestive tracts.
Some of your best options lie just outside of the city, about 26km (16 miles) east along the Western Highway at Mile Marker 32, where you'll find a pair of popular roadside restaurants and bars: Cheers (tel. 822-2065) and Amigos (tel. 820-2014). Both are large and lively spots serving local fare, grilled meats, seafood, and typical bar food like nachos and burgers.
