With creative food and good service, Zydeco Kitchen is a far more enjoyable place for dinner than some of the other much-publicized downtown restaurants and is one of my favorite Bend restaurants. Despite the name, this is not specifically a Cajun or New Orleans-style restaurant, although you can start your meal with wonderful shrimp and grits cakes. After that, I always go for the grilled redfish with Dungeness crab and spicy Zydeco sauce. On Sundays, kids eat free.
