This modest, well-run pension in Charlottenburg is one of the best deals in western Berlin, and its location couldn’t be more convenient to the cafe-restaurant-shopping streets around Savignyplatz and the Ku’Damm. The 12 rooms, all on the second floor of a turn-of-the-century apartment building (no elevator), are simple and clean with contemporary furniture and the charm of wooden floors and stucco ceilings. Three street-facing rooms have balconies; the rooms facing the courtyard can be a bit dark, but they’re very quiet. There’s also a 2-bedroom apartment. Share a bathroom and you’ll save even more. Breakfast is not offered here, but there are lots of cafes and bakeries in the area.
