Frommer's Review
If a view is important to you, we recommend Coconuts, not only for its scenic vista, but also for its cuisine. It lies between high cliff rocks and a sandy pink beach on the south coast. Alfresco dining here is most romantic, although those breezy nights tend to cool your food before you've finished it.
The restaurant is set in an open-sided dining room, richly paneled with varnished cedar, that's positioned within a few steps of the beach. If you prefer a table directly on the sand, the staff can set one up for you, at a net fee of $85 (£44) per person with food and wine included, although sand invariably gets into your shoes. Lunch is nothing special -- the usual, burgers, salads, sandwiches, and the like. But at night, the chefs strut their stuff, offering a set menu (which changes daily) full of variety, flavor, taste, and scope, and presented with flair. Freshly grown produce is served with Cajun and West Indian spices, for a "taste of the islands." We can't guarantee what you'll get on any given night here, but the scope is wide enough to appeal to most diners -- if you have very obscure food tastes, you'd better call and check.
