For almost 3 decades, Michael Swan has been one of the best-known artists in Bermuda, using the medium of the airbrush and acrylic paints. Praised by critics for the energy that seemingly bursts out of the shadows he creates, he's noted for his strong, simple designs that appeal to anyone with a sense of architectural form. His depictions of clouds are particularly evocative. He usually paints at night, when shoppers and art lovers are far from his gallery, but in his absence, a staff displays and sells his work.
