Follow the crowds straight across from the Old Harbor ferry landing to this agreeable tavern. Featured microbrews are listed on the blackboard. They are made on the premises, usually four or five types from Pilsener to stout. Most of the daytime menu is standard pub fare, with chowder, burgers, burritos, and fried clams featured. That's the time to go, for the kitchen has a sure hand with its luncheon familiars, but looks a little too far afield for dinner ideas (pad Thai and red curried chicken). This is one of the few public places with air-conditioning, something to remember on a muggy July day.
