Frommer's Review
This rustic little spot just outside of Bodrum, opened in 1998, is where you'd take a visiting ambassador. The serving style is both elegant and flamboyant, with sis kebaps (skewered lamb cubes) served at the table on skewers the length of yardsticks. The preparation goes on behind a glass-enclosed kitchen in the center of the dining room, where the only thing you won't see is the chef killing the cow. Denizhan is a carnivore's delight; sample an innovative approach to cooking meatballs (fried in a cracked-wheat crust) or try the extraordinary Denizhan special (beef baked with cheese, pistachio nuts, and garlic sprinkled with sesame seeds). Find a way to get out to this restaurant.
The management recently opened the Denizhan Bistrot in downtown Bodrum (Neyzen Tevfik Caddesi), with a light menu of sandwiches, grills, pastas, and carpaccios.
