Frommer's Review
The Marmara Bodrum is truly a feast for the eyes. Sky-lit hallways, white-on-white themes (including the staff's casual "uniforms"), and an eclectic mix of really cool stuff make this place seem more like an art gallery than a hotel, with a generous dose of warmth and congeniality to remind you that you're in Turkey and not on Madison Avenue. The rooms are simultaneously deluxe and sleek, with aged bamboo closet doors, made-to-order black-on-wood consoles, wrought-iron and wicker chairs, and the finest whiter than white bed linens. Every room has a balcony, but the real draw is the bathroom, a glass, marble, and chrome gallery featuring a picture window between the tub and outer room.
As if a panorama of Bodrum weren't enough, the landscaping takes advantage of the rocky hilltop, incorporating the stones into the design of the outdoor space. The poolside bar tables are crafted with Iznik tiles, and the poolside lounges, chairs, and barstools are -- guess what -- white. Don't overlook the new spa facility, where a massage or an hour-long session relaxing in the flotation tank will leave you limp.
