Frommer's Review
This might easily be Bodrum's best-kept secret, only 10 minutes from the castle yet worlds away in terms of tranquillity. The manicured lawns, backed by the ruins of an old monastery, extend practically to the pebbly water line, seductive with hazy mountain views in the distance. Surrounded by land on practically all sides, the waters of Torba Bay are as serene as those in a lake. Lounges, teak settees, and a thatch-roof bar are sparse additions to the grounds, which include a waterside raised swimming pool not far from the monastery ruins. A bi-level stone building houses the guest rooms, all with access to the outdoors via a patio or balcony. The rooms are a feast of minimalist design and the contents, including multichanneled CD systems, are nothing but the finest. While deciding whether to leave the property or not, you can make use of a small but effective fitness room and a selection of motorized watersports equipment (for a fee).
